According to New Economics Foundation we are ranked as the happiest country in the world. Also we are ranked as first in press freedom in Latin America by Reporter Without Borders and 5th in Human Development Index for Latin America according to United Nations Development Programme.
I am proud of the beautiful exuberant Costa Rican nature that contains almost 5% of world’s biodiversity. We have laws to protect endangered species. One must-visit in our country is the Chirripo hill, the highest mountain in Costa Rica where you can see clues of ancient times where the glaciers used to cover this mountain top. Aside from our beautiful beaches, jungles and mountains, another treasure we keep is the Coco’s Island, internationally famous for being the habitat of species like the endangered Hammerhead shark, dolphins and giant mantas that live freely out of the reach of hunters.
We embrace all kind of cultures and we love to learn from people all around the world.
UNEARTHED FACT: I was able to skydive when I was in Colombia’s Reinado Internacional del Joropo beauty contest.
I SAY: Failure is an opportunity to learn while success is something I embrace and enjoy. I always thank God for these experiences.
